songs are like tattoos

I think this was my favourite sketch from last Friday night's Dr. Sketchy. The scaling is all wrong; the hands, for one, are way too small but I don't really care. I'm a little bit obsessed with tattoos at the moment. I'm loving drawing people too. So what could be better than drawings on people? Not much.

Andrea, I am digging your drawings of people too. The composition of this one is so clever -- it goes right to the essential. Cool arm!

I love it! Actually, it does make me wonder if your style wouldn't work with tattooing. I think it would because of the ability to use fewer needles for the fines lines. I had a piece done by Noon, which does have a very hand sketched quality to it.

Thanks, girls.

France, I'm finiding it the most exciting thing - drawing people, right now. maybe because it's so new. It makes me feel even more in awe of what you do.

Kaitlyn, I am really interested in this idea. Loads of people have asked me to design tattoos for them in the past but I've never fancied it. I think getting involved in the whole Dr Sketchy thing has made me feel very diffierent about that now. I imagine some of the ladies I've drawn would work really well. So many things I'd LOVE to do. So little time!

Thanks, girls x
