cheerio me ducks!

Just been away for a fabulous break in sunny Norwich. I'd been hoping to get lots of drawing done while there as my friend, Tim, has loads and loads of crap....I mean 'collections'. Unfortunately I only came home with this little drawing - but with lots of gorgeous memories.
Thank you my lovely friends.

Oh, he's absolutely lovely! All that wood grain texture! I admire your attention to detail.
It's been a while since I tried anything as detailed as the work you do. Not even sure I could do it any more.

Welcome home! I'm glad you had a great time, and the drawing is a beautiful reminder ... love it.

Aw, it's beautiful! Looks just like a little carved elephant from Sri Lanka that my parents had on top of the tv set when I was a child. Hurrah that you're back!

Thank you guys. I'm stil cringing about posting this. It's lame - the drawing not the elephant!

Cheers and I've missed you all.

You have captured the wood grain beautifully! What a cute little elephant...one of my favorite animals.

Seems to be going around. I took all my stuff, but didn't get a single drawing done during my recent mini-vacation. At least you did ONE!

thanks both,

Julie I always do that. I take loads of materials with me. Usually they take up lots of room in my already crammed suitcase and then never draw a thing. So, yep, at least I got one done. I don't think we need to put any pressure on ourselves to draw while on holiday. If we don't want to then we obviously needed the break from it.

Cheers!
